Q. Do you accept insurance?
I accept most out of network insurance plans. Upon request I will provide you with a super bill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I have some medical claim forms for specific companies and can walk you through the simple process of getting reimbursed expeditiously.
I encourage you to check with your insurance provider prior to your first session, to see if they provide coverage and what your copay and/or deductibles may include. The main insurance I do still bill for is Medicare.
I accept most out of network insurance companies for a variety of reasons, with the greatest reason being that insurance providers will often times direct the course of treatment and limit sessions. I am a skilled Licensed professional who believes that I am in the best position to assess your specific counseling needs, not insurance companies who are not providing direct care.
Additionally, I run a small practice in our hometown and believe that accepting insurance takes away from the valuable time of counseling, training and clinical work I can provide. I am not willing to sacrifice those small practice aspects of my work to have a larger practice where the quality of treatment may be compromised to fit in the managed care model of treatment.
